My. Teeth. Sore.

So, they changed a wire and took a few 'jewels' out at the orthodontist's office on Thursday and I swear, it feels like they numb-chucked me to the face. The teeth are definitely still sore. And I was wrong in thinking the margaritas last night would help. Weird.

On a side note -- I have come to the conclusion that my face is puffier when I wake up in the morning. Anyone else find this to be the case? Don't call me a doctor or anything but it's something about sleeping on my side - Ha. Um, yeah...proooobably isn't helping the cause.

totally agree. my face is much puffier in the morning. i massage it for like 5 minutes when i wake up to loosen it up. not sure what causes it..could be sleeping on the side b/c i do that too.

My doctor told me that it is not uncommon to be more swollen in the morning, especially on the side that you sleep on. Something to do with blood flow/circulation. I find that a hot shower in the morning helps.

HI, I AM 54 YEARS OLD AND JUST GOT BRACES!! I GOT THE DAMON BRACES...BUT I JUST WANTED TO SAY THAT ONE OF THE DENTISTS THAT I CONSULTED, TELLS HIS PATIENTS NOT SLEEP ON THEIR SIDE. HE EVEN TELLS THEM TO WEAR A TEE SHIRT WITH POCKETS ON THE SIDE AND PUT TENNIS BALLS IN THE POCKETS SO THAT IF YOU TURN OVER...YOU WANT STAY ON YOUR SIDE. HE SAID THAT ALL THE PATIENTS WHO DO THIS DON'T HAVE THEIR BRACES ON AS LONG AS THE OTHER PATIENTS WHO SLEEP ON THEIR SIDE. SOMETHING ABOUT NOT PUTTING PRESSURE ON YOUR FACE...I AM TRYING NOT TO SLEEP ON MY SIDE..BUT IT IS HARD!!! GOOD LUCK!
